Bitcoin is up 4.9% and has already exceeded last week’s 94,000 target
Bitcoin is up 4.9 percent and has already exceeded last week’s 94,000 target, reaching close to 98K. Shorter time frame structure shows a bullish pennant, while daily projections suggest a potential move north of 100K if the breakout confirms. Do continuation patterns strengthen your conviction in trending markets. Measured moves from bullish consolidations often favor higher targets when momentum remains intact. Met coal finished the week up 3.6 percent and broke decisively above the 225 resistance level. The coal ETF followed with a strong breakout, turning the 25.75 area into potential support. With resistance now higher near 250, the trend favors continuation. Is buying a pullback to new support a smarter entry than chasing strength. Breakouts that hold above former resistance often signal sustained momentum. Crude oil finished the week up 0.4%
Crude oil finished the week up 0.4 percent and confirmed a breakout from a downward channel that has controlled price since July. The rally stalled precisely at the 200 day moving average, reinforcing its role as major resistance. Is a true trend change possible without clearing the 200 day moving average. Sustained strength above this level would improve confidence, while rejection keeps caution in place. Gold, Oil, Bitcoin Break Out ~ Monday Market Moves
In this episode of Monday Market Moves, I break down what played out across markets last week and lay out what I’m watching closely heading into next week. 📩 Website: https://www.stevebartonmoney.com/newsletter 📩 Substack: https://stevebarton.substack.com/ 👉 Technical Analysis Video Series: https://stevebarton.gumroad.com/l/TechnicalAnalysisforBeginners 👉 Rule Classroom Live Stream Chart Session, Jan 20th 12:30pm Pacific Time: https://ruleclassroom.com/posts/96578413?utm_source=manual I start with the S&P 500, DOW, dollar, and rates to frame the macro environment, focusing on tightening price action, key support and resistance levels, and what momentum is signaling for equities and currencies. From there, I move into gold and silver, where strong weekly gains are now running into negative RSI divergence, shaping a more cautious short-term outlook despite a constructive longer-term trend. I then transition into copper and uranium, highlighting copper’s recent trendline break and potential downside entries, while uranium continues to catch up to term pricing after a strong run, prompting profit-taking and closer risk management. From there, I move into the energy complex, explaining why oil’s breakout from a multi-month downtrend is technically significant and why energy equities are beginning to confirm a longer-term accumulation phase. I also cover natural gas and coal, focusing on broken trend support, key retracement zones, and where upside momentum is starting to build. I round out the commodities with platinum, palladium, and nickel, outlining developing technical structures and rotation themes, and I finish with Bitcoin, where a bullish continuation pattern keeps higher prices in focus with clearly defined upside targets. Key Insights in this episode: ✅ S&P 500 consolidates near resistance with upside potential ✅ US dollar strengthens as macro pressure builds ✅ Treasury yields test resistance levels ✅ Gold and silver remain strong with short-term caution ✅ Copper weakens while uranium stays supported ✅ Oil breaks trend resistance; energy stocks confirm strength ✅ Natural gas weakens as coal holds firm ✅ Platinum and palladium stabilize ✅ Bitcoin remains bullish short term Affiliates /Tools for Success that I Love and find Helpful: Technical Analysis Video Series: https://stevebarton.gumroad.com/l/TechnicalAnalysisforBeginners Rule Classroom (Free) https://ruleclassroom.com/share/-ztDnefsS5h6MTkD?utm_source=manual Rule Classroom Plus (2 Free Months) https://ruleclassroom.com/share/--qqlFVftepbST8a?utm_source=manual TradingView (Free) https://www.tradingview.com/?aff_id=128305 Lobo's Weekly Recap (Free) https://independentspeculator.com/services/speculators-digest?ref=stevebartonmoney%40gmail.com Uranium Newsletter https://members.uraniuminsider.com/a/41334/hfFkvWuq Chapters: 00:00 S&P 500 & Market Setup 04:34 Gold Key Support 10:22 Silver Surge & Caution 16:30 Copper Trend Break 17:54 Uranium Pricing Update 22:34 Oil Breakout 26:15 Natural Gas Weakness 28:07 Coal Breakout 29:15 Platinum Setup 31:52 Nickel Outlook 33:48 Bitcoin Bullish Pattern 34:42 Closing Thoughts DISCLAIMER: I am not a financial advisor. Gold finished the week up 2.1 percent
Gold finished the week up 2.1 percent and remains supported by multiple technical levels, including trend structure and key moving averages.
